Seeking agility in any organisation is hardly a controversial idea but making it meaningful and scalable is another matter altogether. In seeking to ‘make' an organisation agile, is our metaphor that of an engineering process in which methods and tools are aligned in an ordered and structured way or something more organic in nature where formal gardens and wild flower areas co-exist and co-evolve? Using the metaphor of domestication this presentation will look at the dangers and opportunities of both approaches and will introduce delegates to new ideas on platform design, architecture and deployment arising from cognitive and complexity science.
